Celebrating the beginning of our twin partnership with the AFV, as they are known, we were treated to an exploration of the Popper High School of Cello Playing with a second cello part specially written by Xavier Gagnepain. All 40 etudes can be played à deux in this edition; the second part demonstrates the harmony and makes it possible to create performances of exceptional beauty.
Students from Junior and Senior Guildhall, the Royal Northern College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music took part in this adventure with the skilful guidance of M. Gagnepain.
