In collaboration with
With
Pavlos Carvalho, cello & bouzouki
Alice Jones & Sheida Davis, cellos
Kostas Kopanaris, percussion
Anna Cooper, accordion/piano
Join us in a celebration of dances around the world through time, rhythm and the cello. Open to Grade 1-5 levels.
We will have fun exploring rhythms from classical music and relating them to different dances around the world, for example the Argentinian tango, Cuban bolero, American blues, Greek and Balkan rhythms. We will also get the opportunity to learn more challenging rhythms and even try dancing some of them!
The day will end with a short informal concert.
The London Cello Society thanks Rebetiko Carnival for their generous support of this event.
